I have been a professional painter since 2002.
I created my first painting series in my freshman and sophomore years in high school. I re-purposed a space outside of our cafeteria as an art gallery during graduation, and by the end of the week, every painting had been sold.
After that, families started asking for portraits of their kids, which eventually sold for thousands of dollars. By senior year, I was represented in 2 galleries in Atlanta.
Captivated by the creative and financial aspects of my business, I decided to study both art and business in college.
While at Stanford University, I did my undergraduate degree in Art and a graduate degree in Management Science & Engineering, which is a business degree through the School of Engineering, focusing on entrepreneurship and technology. At the time nobody had combined the two, but I finished my Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in 4 1/3 years.

Athletes  & the Human Form
2004 - 2008
This series was painted as part of my Bachelor of Arts at Stanford University.
Fascinated by the human figure, I focused my Major in Art on depicting the human form. All paintings are portraits of actual fellow student-athletes at Stanford.
Rowers - 2004 -2006
Rowing Highlights
Stanford University:
- Year 1: Having never rowed before,  I walked onto the Division 1 Varsity Stanford Women's Rowing team and soon found a new passion.
- Year 2: Awarded a partial scholarship, and I earned a seat in the top Varsity 8-person boat.
- Year 3: I was awarded a full-ride scholarship which paid tuition, room & board, and all other expenses.
- Year 4: In my senior year, I "stroked" the Varsity 8+ boat, which is considered the lead seat in the boat. At the final NCAA national championships, I lead our under-dog team raced to a silver medal.  That year, I was also awarded the Pac 10 Rower of the Year, which was voted on by all the coaches of the division.
USA National Team:
2008: Won the World Championships as a part of the United States Under 23 National Team.
2009 -  2011: Trained for the Olympics as part of the 25-person United States Senior National team. National Champion in the women's double in 2010.

Professional Family Portraits
2001 - 2011
Starting in year 2 of high school,  I painted portraits for families in the community. As part of my aesthetic, I intentionally cropped the compositions not to show the entire face. This alludes to the fact that you can never really know the entire person. There are always sides to them that no one sees.
